A couple of my favorite things right now: 1. John James Audubon prints. I’m thinking they will be a perfect compliment to some bold Banquet Workshop prints that I want to purchase for our living room. 2. Brightly edged and ombre envelope flaps. I’ll be adding these envelope styles to the 2013 line. I’ve been having a blast working on next years collection.

Just a little watercolor doodling / procrastination. (p.s. I am determined to have long hair. I’ve never had it…so it’s about time right?)

It’s amazing what light can do!! (These are pics of our dining room after my husband installed a few windows.) We are towards the end of a huge remodel of the whole bottom level of our farmhouse. Someday when I get the space properly decorated, I’ll show before and after pics. It’s made quite the transformation.

I’m also beginning to acquire more plants for the house…including these succulents that I purchased from here. So pretty!

I’ve finally updated the store list with all of our new stores! We’re are blessed and honored to have Moglea cards across the country (and Canada).

These letterpress announcements are the first of a few June births that I had the privilege of doing announcements for. The Romeros loved the lettering and color palette that I made for Ralph, so I did the same for Enzo. Love how these turned out!

I have lots of design work to share with you, but in the meantime, I thought I would show you some fun lettering I did over the weekend. My husband is in a local organization called T-Bone Club, which is a group of business owners and cattle-producers that help promote beef in the Audubon area. (We raise beef cattle on our farm.) Audubon holds an annual festival called T-Bone Days, and I put together some signage for the beef kabobs my husband was grilling and selling for the event. Chad came up with this brilliant idea of actually putting a ball of naan dough on the end of each kabob before grilling. So good!

It has been quite busy here at Moglea! I’ve been practically living in my letterpress studio (alongside my lovely assistant) printing and packaging orders. The next round of NSS orders went out this week, and I’m really excited about all the new stores that will offer Moglea stationery. Yay! Today I thought I would share some more pics from progress in the studio. I will never tire of bright colors against the backdrop of all the cast iron in the studio. Such a fun job I have.

There is lots of production going on in the studio right now! ( I feel like I’ve been cutting paper for days.) I have some NSS orders going out soon, so I thought I give you a peak at our collage card production. Every card is different, so I hand-select paper from atlases, encyclopedias, and various books I’ve collected for the cards while keeping a common color palette. The shapes are cut and affixed to each card before printing. I purchased this mint-colored school lunch tray a while ago to add to my mint ephemera collection, and it works perfectly for organizing all of the pieces for our collage cards. Yay! Back to the print studio…

I had an adoption shower last weekend and we got many wonderful gifts…but somehow these two little bunnies that my friend Mattea made are certainly blog-worthy. I really treasure them and they remind me daily of the new family that we have coming soon. And I adore the patterns!

I handed out a letterpressed version of this infographic at the National Stationery show, but I’m finally gotten around to adding the design to my about page! It tells some random facts about Moglea.

Side note: It’s AMAZING outside. Blue skies and breezy weather. I wish I could move my letterpress to the middle of our yard. Hope you all have happy weekends!
