Chad and I are off to Canada tomorrow for some skiing! I’m sharing some of my favorite vintage ski posters in honor of our trip. I’ll be back early next week with some more work to share. Have a lovely week!

I’m happy to share our Christmas cards that were mailed to family and friends this year. I decided since we had some special news to share with everybody (we’re adopting!!) we would do a more text-heavy mini-booklet. The covers were letterpressed with red ink and the booklets were bound with a sewing machine. I made sure to leave some space to write a personal message to everybody…which I think is super important if you are going to send out a card. We made sure to include some vintage farm scene envelope liners, which my husband, Chad, trimmed and inserted into envelopes for me.

Somehow I answered a craigslist ad and bought a letterpress in the same week! We are happy to be owners of a 10x15 Kluge Automatic letterpress. This baby feeds paper so I don’t have to, and looks sweet while doing it. It was quite easy (what?!) to move home thanks to dear friends (Casey & RJ) and my amazing husband. (Moving our Chandler & Price wasn’t quite so easy…) I still have quite a bit of learning to do, as I’ve never operated an automatic press; luckily Kluge’s are similar to my current press so I’m hoping that will help the process.

This is the first of a few of my submissions for Minted’s Art Print Challenge. It’s the first challenge of this kind (that breaks out of stationery design), so it’s been a blast to pull together some entries. I put together an inspiration board for this entry that includes some favorites from my pinterest boards. Enjoy!
